PFG57 'HÖNAN'

Made for Godot Wild Jam #71 (Unintended Consequences)

The setting:
Global warming and the exploitation of natural resources has caused most of the ecosystems on Earth to collapse. Storms, fires, earthquakes and floods has destroyed almost everything that humanity has build. What is left are groups of people living in small settlements, each producing a few necessary goods that are then traded. These trade missions are called Chicken runs.

The mission:
You have to take control of an old Mech and make it to the extraction zone. To get there you'll have to manage the onboard systems, and figure out how to overcome the obstacles in your path.

You will have to use your eyes and ears to figure out how the systems affect one another. Use that knowledge to run your Mech more efficiently, so that your fuel will last to the end.

The vehicle: 
The Mech is the old Swedish prototype Pansarfotgängare 57, designated PFG-57 "Hönan" (The hen). It was built to withstand heavy punishment, and therefore has no windows in order to increase hull integrity. Of course this means that you'll have to navigate by sensors only.

It has been equipped with the following systems:

• Radar and compass  for navigation
• Thermal camera to identify enemies
• 30mm AKAN-55 auto cannon with an electric reload system
• Geiger counter to detect radioactive zones

You've got more ammunition onboard than time to shoot it, so don't be afraid to use it.

One last thing:
Remember to balance your resources and be aware that many systems and settings may come with unintended consequences. Be alert and keep monitoring the vehicle's instruments!
