Egg Sac

Summary

Egg Sac is a twin stick extraction shooter where your main weapon and mining tool gets increasingly more potent the longer you focus at the same target.

Upgrades and other useful tools could make you succeed, or just push you deeper into debt. And none of it will matter anyway if you can't get back alive with your haul.

Laser beams, alien spiders, absurd taxes and hostile loan sharks - it's all there.

Backstory

As an unskilled labourer in the outskirts of the galactic federation, you live a hard and dangerous life. 

While barely getting by, you’ve accumulated quite a bit of debt. 

The only way to get back on track is to double down and risk everything while working the galaxy’s most dangerous job - egg sac extraction missions to deep within the alien arachniens' lairs.

Brackey's Game Jam 2025.2

This game was made in one week by a team of 3 developers for Brackey's Game Jam 2025.2. 

The theme "Risk it for the biscuit" can be seen in that you repeatedly need to get yourself into very risky and disadvantageous situations in order to have any chance of succeeding in the game.
